Ca'n Pastilla Holidays

Ca'n Pastilla's close proximity to Palma goes some way to explaining why it was one of Majorca's first tourist hot spots. Like many of the island's resorts, Ca'n Pastilla grew from a small fishing village and still retains its picturesque harbour. Set at the far end of Playa de Palma's three-mile stretch of beach, Ca'n Pastilla offers three beautiful golden sand beaches.

The main beach is lined with huts offering shower and toilet facilities as well as a selection of drinks and snacks. Water sports are also available. The centre of town consists of a pretty harbour and a cluster of narrow streets. Ca'n Pastilla is connected to the neighbouring Playa de Palma and Al Arenal via a pedestrian promenade, which is packed with shops, bars and restaurants. This allows visitors to stroll freely between all three resorts. Alternatively, those looking for a more prompt form of transport can hop on the mini train, which runs the length of the promenade.

Considerably quieter than Al Arenal, Ca'n Pastilla offers a relaxed atmosphere with a good selection of seafront restaurants and bars. The resort proves especially popular with British tourists and many restaurants reflect this in their menus and decor. Those looking for more excitement can sample neighbouring Al Arenal's hectic nightlife. Day-trips include visiting Palma, Majorca's cosmopolitan capital, and enjoying a fun day out at Aqualand de Arenal, the island' largest water park. Situated five miles from Palma, Ca'n Pastilla is just a 15-minute drive from the airport.
