Scattered with art galleries, designer shops and top-notch restaurants, Santa Eulalia is often referred to as Ibiza's cultural and gastronomic centre. Situated nine miles northeast of Ibiza Town, Santa Eulalia is built around a picturesque bay and set against a backcloth of pine-covered hills. The main beach stretches 300 metres in length and is accompanied by a palm-lined promenade - dotted with an array of bars and restaurants.

A wide range of water sports, such as wind surfing, pedaloes and jet skiing are available on the 400-metre southernmost beach. Snorkelling is particularly recommended around the rocky divide between the beaches. Those in need of a break from sun and sand can explore the riverside trails or enjoy breathtaking views of the island from the 16th-century hilltop church. Another unique factor to this resort is its location next to the only river on the Balearic Islands.

Unlike its neighbouring resorts, Santa Eulalia is not a clubbers paradise. Instead evenings are spent at a much slower pace - dining on fine food alfresco-style, chatting over espressos at the pavement cafes, and strolling around the central square. The relaxed quiet atmosphere makes this resort a favourite for couples and families.
